Got some bad, bad news. One of the producer's affiliated with York Shakespeare's '07 season decided to bail and therefore the season, for cost purposes, had to be reduced down to 3 shows from the original 5. "Caligula" was one of the ones to go. Unless by some miracle someone comes forward with the funding, then the show is completely eliminated from the season.

You have no idea how devastating this is. It seems to be the nature of this business. Really falling for these characters and then not being able to share that, their story, their purpose...it really sucks.

I'm putting out a plea to anyone out there who has any money stashed away that would like to put it towards a good cause. I know this seems a bit callous to ask this on this forum but...I will personally give that person(s) a great big kiss if they get Caligula off the ground again. That's a promise.
