I'm going to be signing off for a while...just from my own personal blog writing. There's too many thoughts and the feelings are very numb. It won't be an interesting read at all.

Before I do, know that the run of my first feature "TaRa Rum Pum" was short, but very profitable. It closes here in the city on Thursday as a matinee. I'll be doing a double screening on Wednesday with my friends at ImaginAsian (6:15pm and 9:30pm). Naturally some friends could make one, but not the other. So by the 9:30 screening, I'll be dancing in the aisles. Some reviews came out featuring me which can be found on my web page, as well as below.

If you do have a chance to see the movie, my debut is in the final 20 minutes of the film (3 short scenes with the lead). Look for the bun. I'm scary.

Other big news is I've been cast in the Carolinian Shakespeare Festival's upcoming summer season as Bianca in "Taming of the Shrew." In addition, they've hired me as the Fight Director. All hand to hand combat. Should be tons of fun.

Just a few final movie reviews. Spent much of last week at the Tribeca Film Festival. Two of the three films I completely recommend if they are branching out nationwide or coming to DVD.

"Purple Violets" - Directed and Written by Ed Burns

AWESOME dialogue. I so enjoy him anyway. Great leading actors. Selma Blair and Debra Messing's characters discover their college sweethearts again after some years. The sweethearts being Patrick Wilson and Ed Burns, respectively. Ed actually wrote this part fo Debra Messing. They were such an awesome pair. It was that what if...when you run into that one person again when the timing is different later on in life. Great movie, great story.

"Watching the Detectives" - Written and Directed by Paul Soter

Starring Cillian Murphy (YUM!!) and Lucy Liu (ugh!). It was so nice to see Cillian do comedy. I really REALLY tried to open my mind up to Lucy Liu. She's just too annoying for words. I adore her as a physical actress. She's very specific, but once she opens her mouth ... (I know you can't see me....I'm shivering). I AM however recommending it as the concept is very interesting (particularly to women) and the characters are a lot of fun. Cillian's character is so completely bored with all women until he meets the Femme Fetale Lucy Liu character who in reality would drive men to rip their arms off and thrown them at her. Just see the movie. You'll get it once you see it. It's also funny watching an Irishman play baseball. Very amusing. :)

I also saw Shane Meadow's latest feature "This is England." An interesting coming of age story. Being an actor, I was pretty offended with the character choices. The majority of characters were incredibly shallow and didn't get enough screen time for development. Very short, trite movie too. Wasn't that impressed. Stephen Graham was the only constant...he was what kept me from falling asleep. Overall, I was very disappointed...I wouldn't even recommend for rent.

Okay so I guess that's it. I can't tell you what the support from the people on this forum have meant to me. Take care and keep in touch.
