Hi all...

It has been such a long time! I will try to condense everything into as little wording as possible from when we last met. Will probably be more factual than descriptive otherwise this blog will never end.

- First, turned 30 on July 31st. I feel younger than ever. Have no idea why I was so panicked. :(

- This summer was an amazing time to get out of the city and it's madness for 2 months. I haven't had a vacation in close to 4 years and it was MUCH needed. My time in Carolina was awesome. "Taming of the Shrew" had such a great cast and we got AWESOME reviews. In addition, the Reflector was very gracious to do a feature story on me. All of which can be found on my website. :)

- Returned back to the city late August. I now have an Agent. The fabulous people at Gilla Roos are now my new best friends. :)

- Got new headshots this past weekend which naturally are all up on my webpage. www.krislundberg.com

- Currently, starring in Red Door Theater Company's production of "Macbeth" playing Macduff and choroegraphing the fights. Goes into production the end of October. I should probably be learning my lines about now.

- Met some filmmakers at IFP's annual conference here in the city. That was a blast. Great time, great peeps. Being in a room surrounded by film makers and directors versus actors was a very liberating experience.

- Started my fall classes at the Irish Arts Center. I'm taking Step Dance, Advanced Gaelic and learning the Penny Whistle...which I LOVE!!! Gomah!

- Became a white belt at the Seido Karate Headquarters. Between this, the step dance, line dance and fighting in the shows....I'm in seriously good shape. :)

- What else....Oh, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad recently came to New York. He seems conflicted. In some respects, he has become more of a "democrat" than John Edwards. I believe Mahmoud will be the next Iranian Beatle. He talks an interesting talk, but then he makes oppression comments on homosexuality and the women in Iran and I see a "Republican." Then there's the fact that he wants to take down Isreal and there I see Satan. Blah. See....this is why I hate politics. Too many humpty dumpty's stratling the fence or too many agendas all together. But if we don't care, whose going to?

- Saw a slew of movies which you all have probably seen. Going to a SAG screening of the long awaited "Elizabeth: The Golden Years" on 10/9. Will review it here. Additional upcoming reviews will be "Michael Clayton" (10/16); "Dan in Real Life" (10/28); "The Kite Runner" (10/30); "No Country for Old Men" (11/13). If you haven't seen Julie Taymor's "Across the Universe" you must go now. It's beautifully done. Is definately geared more for the artsy crowd but is still a great story and has some outstanding performances. Rachel Evan Wood is from my hometown. I auditioned for her dad a few times. I think she's one of the few engenues I've seen that does not annoy me.

Glad to be back. It was a really brutal winter/spring. I was in a bad place for a long time and couldn't pull myself out of it. Going away this summer couldn't have come at a better time.

xoxo
