2004-05-07 9:06 AM hi ho, hi ho,it's off to the bookstore i go wooohooo, here in a few minutes, i'm gonna load my wide ass up in the truck and head for the bookstore. oh my gosh, i'm excited. it's been such a long time since i've had a new book. still debating on what book to get, lolita is slowly drawing me in. but reading lolita in tehran sounds intriquing also. crap.
i proclaimed to hubby yesterday that i was indeed going to buy a book. i know it doesn't sound like a big deal to most, but at below poverty living, it's a treat. he asked, where are you going to go? our media play(which sucks for books anyway)just went out of business. of course it did, since last christmas i spent an extra $15 to join their stupid rewards club. books-a-million, i told him. (what a great store!) if you get it online, it'll be here by monday, he said. i sighed. part of the joy of buying a new book is browsing the shelves in the store, i explained. he laughed, now you understand the joy of shopping at circuit city. ok, point made. so i may skip the cd and buy both books to satisfy both my fiction and nonfiction urges. duane came over last night. he wants to go out to eat, no doubt his last horah before he has to clean himself out...poor man. he mentioned an italian restaurant chain which i don't think is on this side of town. then he said, it'll be your early mother's day present. sweet, huh? course i'm not his mom and he is choosing the restaurant, but what the hey, i don't have to cook. that's a big yay! and that will just give me more time to READ MY NEW BOOK! ahahahahahahahahaha... ah, most days it is the little things, isn't it?
