2004-06-08 11:36 AM Survey on Writer's Guidelines--please help me out submissions open for eight more days...send us your best! I'm really amazed, shocked, dismayed, however you want to put it, at how many writers blantantly ignore writer's guidelines. I'd say out of all the submissions we've received so far, at least half of them refused to follow the guidelines, and several have sent things we're not even asking for(such as poetry). I know I read the guidelines over and over again, very carefully, and follow their directions to a T. I don't want my piece not considered because I arrogantly disregarded the guidelines. Am I the only one who does this? How important is it to follow the guidelines? I'd really like some feedback on this, please. Thanks in advance to everyone who answers this.
