2006-01-31 1:42 PM Cheers and Leers and here we go...
big glaring, hateful leers----well, tonight is dubya's state of the union address. i don't think the state of our union is very good. i can't even stand to listen to that ignorant man, and make no mistake, he is ignorant. he will once again tell us he did not break the law by bypassing the secret court for bugging warrants. wow, he's got a lower grasp on reality than clinton did when he stated, "i did not have sexual relations with that woman." his only excuse is, "all's fair in love and war." we supposedly have checks and balances in place to prevent this from happening(it's a SECRET COURT, for God's sake) but it seems that those in charge of our checks and balances are just as unbalanced. standing cheers....to google, who refuses to give out the search result information of its users. well, at least some one in this country believes in citizens' rights to privacy. i mean, since those men and women are fighting in iraq for our freedom (isn't that what the administration keeps telling us?) then i should have the freedom to search the internet for any damn thing i want, including how to make a bomb or researching al queda, or surfing for porn, without fear of the fbi, nsa, or cia knocking down my door. fiery leers...to aol and yahoo, who have already turned over search result information to the government. apparently, we're not as free as we all thought we were. standing cheers...to bb&t bank, who is refusing to give loans for projects where the land is stolen from private citizens through the supreme court's misguided ruling for eminent domain. i'm guessing that not only pawn shops have a license to steal, our local governments do as well. thanks bb$t for standing up for the little people! it's refreshing to know that there are some businesses that won't sell their soul for the allmighty dollar.
