2008-03-25 5:32 PM Inspired by "mah girls" i thought i'd tap out a vacation article today.
it didn't help that last night my gut was hurting something fierce, so i popped something to ease the pain and ended up sleeping until noon today. i even went to bed earlier than usual last night so i thought i wouldn't be that knocked out this morning. so i spent the afternoon doing a little research and writing. when i got done with the article i stopped to "think" never really a good thing for me to do. but now i think i should have approached the whole thing a different way. soooooo, after dinner, i will spend the evening rewriting it from another perspective and decide which way i like best. i'm probably going to like the first person angle better (which i didn't write the first time) at least i got one of my movie reviews submitted and awaiting approval. hopefully the first person travel version will fly off my fingertips and i can manage another movie review before bedtime tonight. the clay county fair starts next month, so i've decided to enter a photograph or two into their open contests. my biggest problem is picking out which one (or ones). as they listed the requirements along with the painting, they weren't real specific on photography submissions, so i need to call for a few more details. it should be fun, and hey, a county fair, i haven't been to one of those in...well, don't think i've ever been to a county one, only state fairs. for now, all you fine folks enjoy the new pic uptop. it's the street outside of the fountain of youth. man, the picture really doesn't do it justice. i tried it both direction and the other direction, i managed to not get much of the car parked on the side of the road in the shot, but then just as i snapped...a damn van pulled out into my shot. and since i was standing smack dab in the middle of the road, i decided not to push my luck. the mopeders in the distance were hell on two wheels, i'll tell ya. they came racing into the foy parking lot and then deciding not to stop there, the wheeled back around, nearly running me down as i stepped outside the gate (which was one way and they were going the wrong way) to take my pics.
