it's time to change the pic again...st. augustine alley

this is a back alley in historic st. augustine. looks a bit like old europe, eh? actually, all the major streets through this part of the city are about the same size (in width, and i tell you, with the big brown beast, lots of places were a tight squeeze) there were a lot of shots of the streets i would have loved to take, but to have cars in them kind of spoils the "feel" of the place.

there are a ton of horses and carriages, i'd love to have a shot of one in front of one of the old houses. that would be sweet. maybe i can work that out. i love horses, used to have one, maybe i can work into someone's good graces. if i wasn't always so chained to the bathroom, that'd be a perfect gig for me, riding around historic streets in a carriage...don't know how much it costs to take one, guess i could "rent" one out for a few photo ops. yeah...like i have the money for that.

i have a pic of the lighthouse waiting in the wings and ready to go, so i'll be changing this one out in the next few days.

anyhow, i'm pouring through my photos trying to decide which one to enter in the county fair. it's difficult to choose.

unfortunately, i lost a good deal of my other photos. especially my two favorites, brass and glass and the gazebo in spring. the only copies i have are at jpeg and zazzle, neither of them really big enough plus the resolution was set low. but since i had a few bucks in my zazzle account from christmas sales, i ordered each in a 10x8 size. we'll see how they look, but i'm really not expecting much. if they look ok, then i'll probably enter one of them (more than likely the brass and glass, which is one of my favs)

all my photos fall into the same catagory...landscape, landmarks, buildings

i'm kind of looking forward to the county fair, cause it will be even more photo ops. americana is one of my favorite things to shoot, and there is nothing more americana than a county agricultural fair.

but anyhow, i figure i have a few more days to shoot a few more shots and have a look to see if i like them well enough to get prints. i have i figure until about tues of next week to make a final decision.

i'm thinking of pulling one of z that i took when he was in the back of the torino on his way to graduation...he looked all "reservoir dogs"...with his long half bleached, half natural color hair in a white dress shirt, and throw it in the other catagory...hehe...he'd hate me, but i like that photo, so i might just do it.

well, gonna wait for my neighbor to get off work tonight...it's her birthday (23...geez, i think i have clothes older than that) and hang out with her for a few. then it's up early in the morning to run, run, run errands.

enjoy the night, ya'll!
