2008-10-14 1:06 PM Tomorrow is Blog Action Day 2008 Poverty I only just ran across this last night...in of all places the Entrecard forum.
World poverty is a huge issue. More importantly, poverty in this country is a huge issue. It's not all because of alcoholics that refuse to straighten up and get a job. Unforeseen problems happen in all our lives and some of us can over come them, and some of us live so on the cusp of the economy that we can't. I myself barely live above poverty level and I bet if I checked the statistics I might very well fall below. But at the very least, I can afford a roof over my head and food in my belly. I may at times think I'm hungry, but compared to so many others, I am not. So while I might not be able to pledge money to this cause, I can pledge my voice. So Blog Action Day 2008 Poverty is a chance for all of us to rise up, let our voices be heard on an issue that affects every aspect of our society. Join the cause, sigh up at the site and talk about your experiences from your point of view. That's all it takes! Voices to raise awareness. My post is ready to go for tomorrow and those interested can view it at Coastal Commentaries. Check out the site and find out the different ways you can help the rampant poverty in this world.
