2010-03-17 9:52 PM In Crisis Mode Here, Calling all Computer Geeks Ok, finally had to bite the bullet and wipe the ole computer (don't judge me cause I had lousy anti-virus protection...I got some good stuff, but too little too late) I lost several things, writing, photos, graphic work, but a portion of it I saved.
However, I'm back at the large resolution 800X600 problem and browsing through the control panel, it is a problem I can't seem to remedy. I had this problem before, and I just can't remember. I really should take notes on this stuff. Goodness knows, I am and always have been a good note-taker, but usually only if there is a test. And let's face it, I didn't think this test would come this soon (really, I was not told there would be a pop quiz. I thought once we covered it, I'd never be tested again. God Bless America) Oh Lordy, the programs and extras I'll have to once again hunt down? Well, "Aye, Matey! I have scurvy. And while fruits are hard to come by, I will hunt them down!" First thing I did was re-install FireFox, cause from the get-go, Internet Explorer kind of bent me over backwards yet refused to give me a kiss. Crap! Really? (I'm now getting kind of irked and irritated by now) Do I have to get a special driver for my display not to read like a 70 year old telephone keypad? God tell me I don't have to once again find the audio driver that so eluded me before? Oye. Those are the most of my worries, but when it comes to a computer, the least of my worries are still hella worrying me. I've lost a lot of work over the years, even with backups. Wow, I've lost a lot of work with those well intentioned floppy discs and CD backups! Those were supposed to be full-proof, only they weren't. Well, let me tell you, it would have been easier to keep paper copies of everything as far as writing and art goes. Even now, with my affordable online back-up, I've still lost work (they got 4 gigs, I had about 1-2 gigs more it missed) and programs(hey, z and iceback taught me well...so, aye-aye, matey!)I have to once again find again. ick, oye, yuck, argh...ok, I'm at a loss for disgusted words, I'm so distraught and pissed.
