We've been really trying to get LB to say please when he wants something. Up until very recently, he'd say it with prompting. Just a few days ago he started putting in the please without prompting. He'll usually say that he wants something, pause, and then say please, but at least it occurs to him that he needs to say it.

Now if I can turn, "want cracker... please" into, "May I have a cracker, please, Mommy?" I'll be happy. He will parrot the proper sentence back to me if I say it, but it's not natural yet. Progress is progress.

I can't believe he turns 2 in 1.5 weeks. EEK!!
