I slept in my own bed last night. For a really long time. Yay!

The last few days in Paris were really fun, maybe the most fun I've had in Paris since I was there with Lyn 14 years ago. Ohmigod, it's so weird that it was that long ago!

Anyway, we ate a ton of food, most of it good, lots of it sweet; we climbed the Eiffel Tower to the 2nd level and then rode the elevator to the top; we went to the Louvre briefly; we spent several hours at the Musee D'Orsay; we went to the Musee de l'Orangerie (which houses the huge Monet water lily paintings in two oval rooms); we wandered around extremely touristy Montmartre; we did a little shopping; we took the Metro; we had a great time.

It's good to be home, though.

I have more to say, I know, but now I have to go make myself some eggs just the way I want them in my own kitchen. And drink cold non-UHT milk. And butter my sourdough (sigh) toast with salted butter.
