Ah, the first of January when you're supposed to write down all of your goals and then see how you did at the end. Let's see. There's the obligatory "lose weight" one (25 lbs here). And also the "get something published for pay" one. Pay = actual cash, or I'd have that already. If goal "get something for pay" is met, then "get tatoo". Hmmm. What else? Get back on track and actually write stuff. Read my unread books on my shelves. That one's actually a bit hard, as I have some things, like Cabell, that are really dense. So I may skip that one, because I know I'll cheat. I'm staring at the book standing between me and the rest of the Greg Bear as it is. ("Droll Stories", by Balzac).

And since I don't write journal entries while I'm actually reading a book, I don't know why, then:
