I've got some links here that will send you to some very educational articles. Unfortunately, they're not live links, so you'll have to cut & paste, but trust me, they're worth it. About literary agents: http://www.natashakern.com/where_your_agent_is_located.htm Jim Huang's talk about the publishing industry. Excellent. http://www.statelyhuangmanor.com/essays/DSkeynote.htm This is a very in-depth discussioni of the the money end of publishing by Denise Little. Jim Huang mentions it and finds a flaw in it, and I think I do, as well, which if I'm correct--which in matters of economics is always an iffy situation--I think it deals with how she claims publishers spread out their overhead equally over all writers, versus a percentage of profit per client. Anyway.. http://sfwa.org/bulletin/articles/profit-motive.html Best, Mark Terry Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
