Well, January 1, 2006 rolled by and I didn't manage to post anything commemorating the end of 2005. I have no excuse.

In the fashion of countless daily papers on every first of the New Year, I shall list things I am looking forward to in 2006 and things I am happy to say goodbye to from 2005.

Things I happily say adieu to from 2005:
1. Pictures of a pregnant Brittany Spears and Kevin coming out of Starbucks with matching venti frappuccinos.
2. Writing the "5" in 2005. I like 6's. It is my lucky number. My 5's are always sloppy and unreadable, more like S's.
3. Uncertainty and being in limbo*
4. Women wearing lingerie camisoles in public and accessorizing with yarny, woolen scarves wrapped 3 times around their necks to make up for the fact they are wearing no clothes. This happens all too much in SF. I don't think it looks terribly put together. It's even worse when the ends of the scarf are so long, they drag on the floor getting all soiled.
5. Natural disasters involving water and flooding
6. Family troubles and angst

*not guaranteed

Things I look forward to in 2006:
1. Finishing my degree
2. Starting a new degree**
3. Moving to the rural south and operating an art gallery
4. Getting off campus and meeting diverse people
5. Getting rid of junk
6. Using my automobile more to see places in the region
7. Wedding season (just one wedding in mind, actually)
8. Keeping in touch with friends

**if this doesn't pan out, defer to #3
