I've been waiting for weeks for the Walkmen to announce their new tour dates. Well, just the other day, they did just that, and of course they are playing in places that are completely unreachable.

They've just completed their third album, so there are good things to look forward to.

When the hell will they come to SF?

Completely unrelated, Christina and I were musing that a cool band name would be the Abductor Vans. This came to me as we were walking past 12 Galaxies on Mission - the band playing there that night had just pulled up in their 1979 and 1981 Ford/Chevy Vans - the kind with the black tinted windows up front, blinds on the back window, looking altogether intimidating to single women on the sidewalk...

I just checked Google and there does not appear to be a band called the Abductor Vans.
