2003-02-09 10:31 PM Throwing out the net Previous Entry :: Next Entry About two weeks ago, I sent a submission to HollywoodLitSales.com for consideration for a possible read. The folks who run Hollywoodlitsales have a production company. Whether or not they look at your work, they give you the option of putting your submission up on their web site, which is then accessible to the world.
So I tossed them THREE HUNDRED LIONS (a romantic Greek tragedy). They passed on it but still placed it on the public site. Just today I got a nibble from a producer in New York who wants to read it, and anything else that might interest him. So, I'm going to forward LIONS and SARATOGA, which is set during the Revolutionary War in upstate New York. Perhaps he'll be able to generate some interest from financeers and filmmakers in New York. I moved from upstate New York to Los Angeles to work on my film career. Wouldn't it be ironic if the first script I sell happens through a New York source? Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
