Wow, not a lot of entries for August! I've been doing things, but mostly there hasn't been much of interest to write about. The first part of August was consumed with a Smallville spec script collaboration, which I and my partner submitted to the WB workshop program. Jo-Ann has been out on a much needed vacation, I've been playing phone tag with Lightstorm (for Mind Games) and writing.

I went to a networking event on Thursday, but I didn't get a whole lot out of it. The speakers were funny and articulate, but it really was more for the "I just got to Hollywood, now what do I do?" crew. One of the speakers, who produces, is very supportive of new talent, and gave out his contact information, so I will be checking out the kinds of projects he's put together, and see if Mind Games or Fork-Tailed Devil interest him.

I have a project for an actress I know to work up a scene for her to use in a showcase that she will be either in or producing for many Hollywood people. That's this weekend's assignment -- I have one scene, but I want to finish a second to give her a choice. If she likes either of them, I'll get to see them acted out, which will be very cool.
