The admin assistant to our department's vice president is a Smallville nut. She found out that I wrote a Smallville (with my partner) and wanted to read it. So I gave her a copy.

Word apparently got around, and I had a bathroom encounter with a coworker here on the floor. (She happens to be my former boss, and I can point directly to her as the reason I ended up at WB as a full-timer, not just a temp.)

It turns out that Angela's best friend's dad is an editor on Smallville. She offered to forward my script to him, just as a "see what you think" kind of feedback.

We shall see if this goes anywhere. I think that puts me officially at four degrees of separation from the Smallville writing staff, though.
