When at a Women in Film breakfast, I chatted with someone who's been a reader for the Sundance Labs. I asked her about what the reader’s guidelines are, and was pleasantly surprised to hear that Sundance readers are taught to evaluate scripts based on the script -- not format, or budget or marketability. It sounded like a program genuinely set up to seek out good material.

So I send Fork-Tailed Devil their way. The first part of the selection process requires only 5 pages of script, and then if it passes that round, they'll request the full script. I should know by July 23 if I've passed the first cut or not.
