2005-01-13 3:53 PM Manager interest Previous Entry :: Next Entry I just set up a meeting with myself, Jennise and the partner of the manager I met at the Screenwriting Expo in November. He loved our Without a Trace and Main Street, USA, and they want to talk about representing us. Having a manager and an agent could be a very good thing for us; managers tend to have smaller clientele, and work harder for their clients.
The downside to management is that they're not regulated by the same laws as agents (thus don't have to limit themselves to the 10% fee cap on our salaries), and of course having an agent and a manger means that during an eventual sale we have to give up more of our salaries. However, it's probably better to have 80% of something than 20% of nothing! We are meeting on Monday. One of the questions on our list is how do we manage telling Jo-Ann that we're supplementing her efforts with a manager? Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
