Our managers hustled our Without a Trace script out to agencies on Friday. As of yesterday, one agent at UTA already wants to read our pilot. It’s a very good agency, and would be a very good placement for us. Tonight I’m working on a few notes for Main Street, so they can get it over to UTA. It just occurred to me: this means that the agent at UTA read our script over the weekend. Pretty cool, if you ask me. I met with the Return (internet drama) producers and director last night. They still don’t need changes from me; I was there mostly to be kept involved with the collaborative process. They want me there for the first cast rehearsal, and then offered to let me be there for the shooting (which I probably won’t do, thanks!). They’re still really happy with my script, and the producers want to sell it as a real TV series. We’ll see, but it’s definitely a good experience so far. And finally, as a direct result of the little 3-minute scripts I did, one of the producers (who also runs an acting class) wants to promote my Demo Reel Scenes, with her full endorsement, and wants me to come in for one of her classes and speak about what I do as a writer. My first seminar! Woo! Now for my first check… :-) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
