2005-04-25 8:10 PM Meet & greet results (NBC) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Our meeting today went off without a hitch. Got there on time, stayed for about 40 minutes, and ended with a smile. Jennise & I both think the meeting went very well -- Marina is a delighful person (she gives "evil execs" a bad name!), and we really didn't notice the time go by. We made each other laugh, and she asked for (and got) honest critiques on the pilots that we read (hurrah for agents!).
Regarding those pilots, there are six, three of which we'd be happy to write, one of which I don't think I could stand to be involved with, and two of which was so-so. But we articulated our reasons well, and she didn't disagree with what we said, or seem surprised -- apparently they're getting similar reactions elsewhere. So, as far as next steps, NBC decides which (if any) pilots they want to pick up, then they staff them. It sounds like Marina can put our names forward to the showrunners for consideration, and if our managers can get the scripts to those shows we have a good shot of at least meeting the showrunners. Whether we get on staff -- well, we'll just have to see. The meet & greet today was an excellent step forward for us, so I'm going to enjoy the moment. Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
