2006-05-23 9:54 AM More frustration Previous Entry :: Next Entry Yesterday I reconnected with the gal who's been working with me on Spacetime, with the eye to getting it to SciFi. She's facing a book deadline and managing her clients for multiple appearances this month, so asked if we could connect again in a month or so.
Of course, I'm not going to say no. I certainly don't expect her to put aside her personal career and income source for my little project. But it's incredibly frustrating to me to have this opportunity, this hope, put on hold yet again. It made for a lousy, frustrating and glum day for me yesterday. I'm going to call my manager and try to persuade her to get behind the project so that I can get it out to other production companies. Since I'm essentially hip-pocketed with her, I'm not looking forward to this conversation. If she says that she doesn't have the time (or inclination) then I'm forced to delay yet again while I can find management to rep me so that I can get past that first steel door at the prodcos. On the brighter side, last night I met Ron Moore (Battlestar Galactica showrunner) and had a great conversation with him. He's a delightful guy, and I hope I have the opportunity to get to know him better. Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
