So I finally watched the West Wing finale last night. Squire had already watched it. Bastard. I'm still depressed. I was hoping Ritchie would be a little bit feistier than that, and maybe more dangerous in the ole' nogin. I think Bartlett would have a much more fun time kicking the ass of someone who is plenty smart but just not Presidential material, rather than the other way around. I'm still depressed. Oh Ceej... Molasses needs a damned land line. But I loved the way Sam jumped back in the game, quietly, deftly, with a few right words spoken in the right ears. Just acting on instinct. Killer Instinct. I was intrigued to note that while the Woman's Lobbyist, Amy was shouting and using brute force to fight the system, the men of the West Wing quietly destroyed her career with a couple of quiet and devastating manipulations. The very last few seconds of the show were the best - when Jed looks over to Leo to see if his orders had been carried out and Leo nods in his slight and ever-so-damning way, and Jed looks up his eyes widening slightly as he comprehends the act of replete evil that he had just committed in the name of peace.
