So she was all like, "Dude!" And I was totally like "Dude."

Listening: Evanescence
I'd rather be: finished with this damned task
Enjoying: Krispy Kreme glazed..*licks lips*

So I've recovered a little bit. Nattering Woman's job keeps her moving about so she doesn't sit behind me for long to keep me distracted....

I'm only mildly angry these days, though it hit a fever-pitch yesterday. It's a long complicated story involving car insurance, a disorganized paper trail and wanting to fuck 21st Century right in the ear.

So I went back to El Cheapo insurance that isn't much cheaper than than 21st Century's rates for OC. That is my rates on El Cheapo for Los Angeles is $9 less per month than 21st's rates for Orange County. Compared to 21st's rates in Los Angeles, El Cheapo is some $40 less per month and their contract is for a year as opposed to the six-months everyone else was offering.

God, what was I ever thinking?

I have no guarantees that these guys won't disappear on me in the middle of the night. But at least they would meet with me face to face and wouldn't let me leave until everything was settled. 21st only wants to do stuff by phone, which of course tends to mean being shuttled from place to place and occasionally getting hung up and no one having a freaking clue what anyone else was doing.

So all I have to say to 21st's customer service people is: Watch your ass and look out for splintery telephone poles. Assholes.

Once I got my insurance squared away with El Cheapo, at great and unexpected expense to me, my Molasses made me a yummy dinner and we got dessert at Cold Stone.

Between ranting at/about 21st Century and the sugar I'm starting to feel better. I still have to track down a bit of paperwork but for the most part I'm doing ok. Of course, now I have to figure out how to make it to payday on the $20 in my pocket. Somehow I suspect I'm not going to make it.

Though this has reinforced my opinion that if all of the people who profess to hate Los Angeles would JUST FUCKING LEAVE then a lot of my big problems in life would become much smaller problems.

Anyway. Right now I'm avoiding a big ole task that I started yesterday. It is the Tast the Will Not Die. Explaining it is really not worth it... Suffice to say that it requires a shitload of work on my part when I know the client isn't going to use much of what I create (if any).

Um... well I think I'm done. Damn I'm boring.
