So...in the last seven days...

1. I've been contracted to write a column for a quarterly national publication relating to worship.

2. I've been cast in a semi-major role in a new musical being done by the gay men's chorus I sing with. I have my own big solo/production number and I get to publicly moon over the most beautiful man in the chorus.

3. A proposal we made to another congregation (a mega-sized one) for a partnership related to a community service project we do here was approved by that church's governing board.

4. Our intern is taking on projects for me of her own initiative, saving me buckets of time and worry. (She's going to be a great pastor.)

5. I'm going away on Wednesday for a two and half day Lenten planning retreat and I'm pastorally covered, so I don't even have to check messages.
