2006-04-14 3:40 PM A month away... So I've been gone from here for a month...
I'll admit, I needed the break. Between the church, chorus, and health issues...I was not in a creative mood...or more correctly, all of my creative juices were drained into other areas... And to be honest that's still true. With Easter two days away, the Chorus show a week away, my first column due two weeks from today, and an area ecumenical service to finish planning that will be two weeks from Sunday...life is full...too full. In the month I've been away... --we buried the longest tenured member of our congregation (92 years old, joined in 1945) after weeks of suffering. For those who are counting, 8 percent of my congregation has died in the past 6 months. --I've had more than 30 hours of rehearsal for my part in the upcoming show of the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus and I'm almost comfortable with the deliciously fey role of Sethi, father of Ramses, uncle of Moses. I just found my footwear...women's sandles at Target...who'd of thunk it? --I've been through three different allergy medications, one round of antibiotics and a partial physical (all bloodwork came back peachy--Hooray!) I'm not 100 percent...I'm a heck of a lot better off than I was a month ago. :-) Other than a Good Friday post, expect me to fade away for two more weeks...Hopefully, I'll be back in rare, or at least medium well done, form very soon. Peace, out... Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
