Ondine She's got everything she needs, She's an artist, she don't look back. She's got everything she needs, She's an artist, she don't look back. She can take the dark out of the nighttime And paint the daytime black. --Bob Dylan 2004-08-06 10:44 AM Fear of Flying part 2 Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Melodramatic Read/Post Comments (2) |
I hate outlines. If I know what is going to happen next in the story I am writing I get bored cause it's like I've read it already. Then I don't write. It's scary looking out into that abyss of not knowing and will it lead to a dead end--but boredom is worse. So far, been lucky with the new novel. Each little step ahead has shown me the next one. I am beginning to see the world where I've marooned my characters. Sam gave me a lesson in modern day marijuana. I haven't been around grass for about 3 decades, and it has gone through a lot of changes. Sam grows all sorts of weird weed that sparkles and tastes like strawberries or blueberries. He calls the variety of fawna danke, skunk, or northern lights. It's a fairy land of pot and my doped up mages will grow it and smoke it in the book. David and I are celebrating our 23rd anniversary this month. We seem to have fallen in love all over again, after going through a couple of years of..who the hell are you and what are you doing in my house? It's good. I look at him now and I see my prince charming wizard hero instead of the abyss of loneliness. Princes are better than oblivion. I wonder what will happen next. Happy anniversary, Davie. :D |
