The doctors took Joe off the strongest meds today. They've been slowly cutting back on them, but now feel they are no longer necessary as he's improved so much, and they are only acting as sedatives, which he doesn't need. He's been using the keyboard and music software I got him, taking songs from his games and transposing them to the keyboard. He will start at the new school after Thanksgiving. Until then, they are letting him stay home and do his classwork on his own. A lot less stress for him. I've been trying hard to just listen to him and not try to fix things if he needs to talk out his negative feelings. It's helping. |
