Ondine She's got everything she needs, She's an artist, she don't look back. She's got everything she needs, She's an artist, she don't look back. She can take the dark out of the nighttime And paint the daytime black. --Bob Dylan 2005-11-21 9:12 PM Broken elephants Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (2) |
Master Armen has this cabinet full of knick-knacks and more stuff resting on top of it, including a wooden figurine of a line of elephants and a heavy metal sword. I was cleaning today and polished all the stuff on the cabinet. Then I vacuumed the room. I moved Master Armen's chair back in place and something must have jarred the cabinet because the sword fell on the elephants and shattered them. I was horrified, but raced over to Rite Aid and bought some crazy glue. Margaret and Ron stopped by as I was sitting there trying to fix the elephants. The glue wasn't working very well. I started crying. Margaret says, "Lisa, Armen isn't your ex husband. He's not going to care." It's weird how people understand. I wrote Armen a note and went about finishing the cleaning. When I came back to his office the glue was sticking. So I kept at it and got the elephants back together, more or less. I still left a note and the glue. I came to class tonight and Armen said he couldn't even tell it had been broken. It was back in its place on the cabinet. Not every man is David. Brad's still an ass hole, but private was awesome. I got to take it with John, a fifth degree master!! I was so nervous at first, but got into it when we were doing this kicking spar technique. |
