Some of my kids had a tough time over the holidays. This is for them. In this house I will love you. I will teach you bravery by standing up to bad parents, bad husbands, evil presidents. I will teach you to use your words by talking to you and listening. I will teach you to trust by never leaving you, no matter what. I will teach you laughter heals, as my mother taught me. In this house you will be accepted for just who you are. In this house you are beautiful and wonderful, however flawed or wounded. In this house I will love you. |
