Pizza Tapes and Shady Grove cds came in the mail yesterday. I woke this morning, put on Shady Grove, then curled back under my quilt. Jerry Garcia's plain, gentle voice filled my room as the cats played. I thought, if there ever was a time I needed a guardian angel, it's now. And what better angel than Jerry Garcia. Quiet joy, creative, the opposite of cruel. I am leaning against Jerry, and will let him carry me back to the happy. |
