I seem to have lost faith in the idea for my story sequence. It now seems like an pathetically, irredeemably, hopelessly inane idea. Damn. I liked it at the beginning of the week.

I know you're not supposed to admit it, but googling your own name is an irresistable urge, and I indulge reasonably regularly. I guess it's a kind of ego-boost for us beginning writers. Today's discoveries/rediscoveries: My short story Five Things of Beauty is listed on Michael Kelly's list of Good Reads for 2003. My Third Alternative story Finisterre has a nice write up in "Dave Reads Books". I'm ashamed to say I have no idea who Dave is, but I'm glad he liked it. I've also rediscovered fellow Clarion West grad Avi Bar-Ze'ev's blog Brownian Emotion.

Okay, you've probably guessed that I only realised you can do HTML in Journalscape a few days ago and am making the most of it. Now I'll see if they work.
