So, as predicted, Steph and I got carried away at Borders last night. After contemplating our choices over expensive drinks, chocolate and brownies in the instore Starbucks (yes, we would much prefer some independent coffee shop to go to, but this is Leeds, not Seattle) we bought DVDs of Monsoon Wedding and the 6 series of Men Behaving Badly. We decided on the latter because the episodes are only 30 minutes long so we could watch one a night without impinging too greatly on our writing/hanging out time in the evening. True to form, we watched 3 hours of episodes last night. As a result, we went to bed late and I am only semi-conscious this morning. One cup of tea down, many to go.

I've decided to take a break from writing short stories for a couple of weeks and concentrate on revising my YA/children's novel. I've brought the critiques with me so I can sit in the library at lunchtime and read through them, then start to read through the novel again. This is the first time I've revised a novel, and I'm not totally sure how to go about it.
