The novel continues to grow, quite out of control. 50,000 words is now looking on the conservative side. Must end it! Must end it!

We're off to Eastercon at the weekend. We're quite ridiculously excited for what amounts to a weekend in a motorway hotel in the less attractive part of Leicestershire. We haven't been to a con since Worldcon 2001 in Philadelphia, so this should be interesting. I expect it'll be just a little different.

British weather has gone completely mad. Saturday could have been the middle of summer, at least if the trees hadn't all been bare still. We walked around in T-shirts most of the day. A few weeks ago, we had deep snow. A few days ago, it was way below freezing. For those of you who come from more exciting places, British climate doesn't do this kind of thing. Not normally. This summer, the sky is going to fall. Just watch and see.
