2005-07-12 5:41 PM Early mornings again Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (4) If anything, it's hotter today, and certainly more humid. The morning started off with a cool layer of fog, but I wasn't fooled. Within an hour or two, the sun was out full and beating down.
At last, we have a new washing machine that appears to work. We have no instructions to go with it, because the delivery guys neglected to leave them, but I'll go for the working machine any day, and anyway, how hard can a washing machine be? I've reverted to the cruel and unusual schedule of getting up at 6.15 a.m. to write. I haven't done that for a long time. Illness and just plain exhaustion knocked it out. But now that Steph and I are both working full-time, I have to go into work earlier, so I can be back at a reasonable time for Nika. (At the moment, I'm scheduling working in the office in the morning and working at home in the afternoon. This way, Nika never gets left more than 5 hours, and usually a bit less.) Anyway, 6.15 is a bit of a challenge, but I've managed it for one day so far! And I managed to do more writing today than I have for a long time. Sleep is for wimps. Time to post this. The electricity is flickering. I think a storm is coming. Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
