A cold beer...
I could really go for one right now, since my week's essentially over, except for the 1500 word story and the 1000 word story that I have to file on Monday before I leave for the frozen hinterlands. Well, maybe not over. On the upside, I don't have to file a story tomorrow, and I should be able to spend a brunt of my morning researching my 1500-word story, which needs about 12 different sources. Also, I'm having pizza and beer for dinner. That's always a mood-lifter. Oh, and my cable's back (mostly). I still don't have ESPN yet, but I'm chipping away little by little. I EVEN GET CBS, ABC AND NBC. Can you believe it? Has justice been served? Not quite yet. I need ESPN to function like a normal adult. NBA Wednesdays alone keep me afloat in this foreign city. Also, my water and electricity will be shut off tomorrow and Friday, respectively. Gee, it's the 5th time each has been shut off over the course of a month. What kind of slum-lord runs this shithole? I've had it. Anyway --- I've got to pick up my dinner. Good luck on your evening. I could only hope it will be as pleasant as Pizza and Beer. And some quality network television.
