2004-11-18 8:00 PM Grin and Bear it Read/Post Comments (1) |
I just got home. Long day of school. Very long day.
However, I got plenty done on my Monday project. Talked to four sources and two more set up for tomorrow. My cable has reverted to no networks again. I think the building management office is getting sick of hearing from me. In fact, I disguised my voice tonight and wouldn't reveal my name or apartment number. Hopefully they don't have caller ID. My landlord still hasn't called me back. Four days and waiting. What a dick. Something's wrong with the world when I get the Managing Editor of a major newspaper and a high profile First Amendment lawyer to call me back within two hours and I can't get a low-life landlord to call me within four days. How will I ever explain this to my kids? I'm off to dinner. Hugh-Lo and Dickie are making dinner. Some kind of "chicken surprise." We'll see. Like a wise man once said (my dad) --- "Just grin and bear it." Good advice from a good man. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
