2004-04-10 3:22 PM Crocodile Sausage Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Hot Read/Post Comments (4) So, today my excitement was sitting on the couch, watching music videos this morning, and watching one of the cats play with it's mouse toy, untill the mouse toy jumped and ran way, so I chased the cat out the back door and chased the mouse out the front, which he instead got freaked out and hid in my roomates room, won't she be suprised when she comes back from her trip. Melissa is gone for the next week or so, it took me less than a day to almost destroy the house and kill her cats, not on purpose mind you. I simply accidentially left the flame burning under a pan on a stove while I was gone, for 14 hours, it could have ended up being very bad, but all that happened was the pan was ruined and the gas bill will be a bitch. During that 14 hours, I was at the Royal Easter Show, which has very little to do with Easter, it's more like a massive county faire that is held the weeks surrounding the 4 day Easter weekend. That is where I got to have a Croc sausage, which was really yummy.
Aussies love their public holidays, so they all get Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday off of work, and many get Easter Saturday off as well. Which means not much is open, so we went on a hike in the Blue Mountains yesterday, it was great, till the trail narrowed and went along the side of a cliff, and this was where I turned back, I can't deal with those heights, no matter how beautiful the veiw is or how many roos are in the wild at the end of the trail. We did't even see many bitds, just lots of bugs. The bugs out here are insane, huge, weird, creapy, and many of them deadly, I'd personally rather deal with the cats bringing in any mouse than the bugs that they find just in my own backyard. So, I've been digging all of this Aussie Music, it's really good, they are totally into all of our music too. This weekend I have been listening to the countdown of the top 100 rock songs that Jesus would love if her were still alive today, because "even though he missed grunge by 2000 years, dosen't mean he wasn't a fan" ARen't Aussie DJ's weird? Last week, they had some guy talking to a chick who was going to hold a seance to contact the spirit of Kurt Cobain since is was the 10th Anniversary of his death. There is just so much in the music world that I wanto to bring back to the states with me. Right now I am in a library while Dennis is gaming at the Tin Soldier, one of these days, I'm gonna learn all these games he's into just to see how much I like them becauseright now, I don't see the point in spending all of thie time role playing and stuff with D&D and Warhammer and card games like Legend of the Five Rings and stuff like that, but I don't really understand them, so to watch them just bores me like crazy. I miss California, and the people there, but I'm so not done with this place yet, two more months to go at least, maybe more if Dennis and I ever get this trip to New Zealand organized so that I can come back into the country for another three months. I need to just get off my ass and find someone to sponser a work Visa, because I don't see that fiance's visa happening any time soon and this tourist Visa just isn't long enough.
