Was riding to work this morning and a song came up on the Ipod that I haven't heard in a while, by a band I had sort of forgotten about.

The song was called (I think) Last Ones, and the band was Loose Diamonds. I remember seeing them in, oh, probably mid 1990's at a suburban Chicago music club called Fitzgerald's and being impressed with them. This particular song was a very good one, has that rootsy feel with a lot of guitar and driving drums, with tough sounding vocals.

Anyway, I don't know what Loose Diamonds has been doing in recent years, or if they're still together, but I think maybe I'll go google them and see if they'll be in town anytime soon. Not that I will be able to find the time to see them, probably, but who knows?
