Wow, I cannot believe that Unfaithful ranks in the top 100 most rented films at Netflix. Maybe it's the "erotic thriller" description that fools people -- I didn't find it erotic or thrilling.

Truthfully, I didn't watch it to the end. Partly because the story didn't hold me on a logic level (why is it that married people who have affairs in movies have never watched movies about married people having affairs?), and partly because I'm not partial to watching movies that focus on a man's (or woman's) voluntary descent into evil.

Spelunking into the dirty, dark aspects of the human soul isn't my idea of a good night of cinema. Unfaithful goes there, so I got up and left.
