This time last year I was at World Fantasy in Minneapolis. In fact, the last four years I made it to World Fantasy Con. '99-'02. Providence, Corpus Christi, Montreal, and Minneapolis.

Not this year, though. Just couldn't make it to Washington DC. It's going to be a good one with the small press party tonight. I'm missing an excellent con, I think. Hope next year in Tempe is excellent, 'cause I'm going.

I'm not bitter about not going this year, no. Honestly. Hey, gotta think about the writing too, ya know? No sense going to a Con if you don't write. Attending World Fantasy is only part of the equation. That's it, that's the ticket. Write. I'll be writing this World Fantasy weekend. Yeah, why should I be bitter when I can write?
