Mood: Happy and full of anticipation Read/Post Comments (2) |
2003-11-04 4:15 PM Begin Again So it has begun. The seasonal day job layoff. Indeed I have fallen off the wagon. Big time. There were some bright points this year--like writing stories for the Denise Little workshop--but I have to pull a little harder, pull a little farther to get myself out of this gutter and back on the wagon.
Melodrama Off. Anyhoo, I'm going to make the most of my time. Be productive and get back into the swing of things. I have started to work on a new story. Sent off two stories today. Tonight at the workshop we have this Ellen Datlow mass mailing, meaning we're all going to send stories all at once (from the same post office at the same time). I sent mine already today. I guess I'm not in the spirit of the thing. I mean, what's the point? The point is getting stories out in the mail, not being part of a mass mailing with a writers group. Who's going to care how many stories our workshop sent at once to Scifi.com? Just the group, that's who. No big whoop. Obivously, I'm not in the spirit. The workshop tonight isn't just about the mailing. No. There's four stories to critique, so we'll be busy as usual.
