Mood: Cooler Read/Post Comments (0) |
2006-07-31 6:33 PM Final Entry For July Things have been quite cooler for the last week. Relief! But the poor poor midwest . . .
Ken Scholes, a great new writer from Portland I've just gotten to know wrote a recent entry about influential teachers. It seems twenty years ago there was a teacher that helped him become a writer. I had a simliar story of a high school teacher (also twenty years ago) and I wrote about him in the comments section. This got me thinking about dedication. I'm also inspired by Daily Persistence. It's always a pleasure to read journal entries from Ron Collins when he's working it every day. It's been awhile since he's updated on a regular basis. Nice to see he's back in the groove again. Work on my novel is creeping along. Mmmmmmm. Dedication and persistence. I better throw commitment in there. As in: state goals and commit myself. Dedication, persistence, and commitment.
