Mood: Pancaked Read/Post Comments (1) |
2007-01-22 11:57 AM A Difficult Pancake After a visit to the library on Saturday, I came home with a book called The Third Policeman by Flann O'Brien. It's only a two hundred page novel and I read almost all of it on Saturday and finished the last fifty pages on Sunday morning. That's fast for me.
What a incredible read. And I guess I was a spectacle to watch because Ximena notice the facial expressions I was making as I read. There are odd and spectacular things seen in the novel by the unnamed narrator and often one right after another. First published in 1967. I picked it up because it was referred to on Lost. I don't know any more answers as to what's going on Lost, but the Third Policeman gives much food for thought. Oh, the title to this entry is a phrase I read often (or a variation of) from one of the characters in the novel. ********************************************** Hey, I'm still writing every day.
