Maybe posting in the mornings works better for me - it seems there's always a bit of a lull here before 9:00 where I can get some basic, non-work-related stuff done.

Jen and I headed out to Northridge last night to get some shopping done at the mall there, then hit Buca di Beppo on the way home. I love that place - more food than you know what to do with (aside from, well, eating it). After dinner, we drove down to Sunset and grabbed some CD's and DVD's at the Virgin store down there, and headed home afterward.

Okay, so that's nothing to be grouchy about. It was this morning that blew goats.

Staggered out of bed at my normal 6:30 this morning, showered, shaved, got dressed and headed out. Was actually pleased that I was ahead of schedule, until I got to the train station. Apparently one of the Red Line trains had mechanical problems, and it threw all of the other trains off-kilter. When the next train did come 15 minutes late, it was short-carred (the trains normally have seven or eight cars; this one was two cars shorter) and packed with people. So, I got to stand on a crowded train this morning all the way from Universal City to Downtown LA. Yep, Downtown LA, one stop past my normal one. The train was so crowded that when my normal stop came around, people couldn't move enough for me to get off the train before the doors closed again.

I finally got into work about half an hour late. Bleh.
