Very Occasional Thoughts

I'm at jury duty right now. Really.

The criminal courthouse has installed PC's since I was last here, that let people have internet access for a small fee. So, while I'm sitting here in this room, waiting to see if someone will call me, I can futz around on the net. Kinda neat.

In the meantime, though, I'm bored. I enjoy jury duty - I personally think it's not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. However, I can't help but wonder if my office is on fire yet, or what else is piling up on my desk while I'm not taking care of it.

More news as it happens. Maybe. You all know how I am about posting to this thing. ;)

They called the first group of propective jurors, and I wasn't one of them. Woo.

UPDATE: 3:45pm

Another round of jurors was just called, once again, not picking me. It was a 20-day trial, on the 9th floor... the "high profile cases" floor. Not sure whether I'm happy to not be on that one, or disappointed.

I'm leaning towards happy, albeit morbidly curious.
