At first I thought it was a free cookbook (albeit a small one), and that it was wonderfully nice of Mr. Food to offer. However, I should have known better. The booklet is nothing more than a marketing ploy to get people to buy one or several of the chef’s cookbooks, although there was a total of two recipes included in the “flyer.” The following seemed the most appetizing:
Chicken Burrito Bundles From Mr. Food
2 C cooked, chopped chicken 1 package (1¼ oz.) taco seasoning mix 1 can (16 oz.) refried beans 6 four tortillas, 8” 1 package (8 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese 3 plum tomatoes, diced 1 small onion, diced Salsa
Preheat the oven to 350°. Place the chicken and seasoning mix in a large zip-top plastic bag (heavy-duty); seal, and shake to coat. Spread the refried beans down the center of each tortilla; top with the chicken, cheese, tomatoes and onion; roll-up. Wrap each tortilla in aluminum foil and bake for fifteen minutes. Serve with salsa if desired. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
