2004-06-19 7:53 PM Last Minute Scramble Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (1) There’s nothing like waiting until the last minute to make major web site changes, but it is a habit I seem to have acquired over the years. Yesterday afternoon I decided to re-do the basic designs for the recipe pages of the new site, and the task ended up taking me the better part of the day. Part of the chore involved re-linking some of the text and pages, which was actually the most time-consuming. I’m just over a week away from the real site transition, but I think I’m finally satisfied with the results.
I’ve also re-signed with Roving for the Food Notes newsletter distribution, and this removes another time-consuming headache leftover from the “old” Shenanchie’s Kitchen. I used to design and compose the newsletter using the program High Impact on my computer (via Outlook), but this was always interfering with the other newsletter I do for my official web site (there was conflict between the two e-mail addresses within Outlook – as if the software had trouble separating the two addresses, and I had to adjust the e-mail settings each time I sent out a mailer for either one).
In addition, I designed another logo for the new Shenanchie’s Kitchen:
